Since its inception in 2009, the Caterham Festival has been an incredible journey of community spirit and joy.


The Caterham Festival has grown in leaps and bounds, expanding its scope year after year. From captivating live performances to art exhibitions, inspiring workshops to exhilarating sports competitions, the festival offers a diverse array of experiences for all. 


At the heart of the Caterham Festival is our strong sense of community. It's organised by the incredible people of Caterham, for the incredible people of Caterham. We believe in fostering connections, supporting local talent, and creating unforgettable memories together.

A WORD FROM OUR CHAIRMAN

Hello and a big welcome to the 2024 Caterham Festival.


We have been busy over the winter planning the events for this year and, with one exception, have managed to put together what we hope is a full and diverse programme for you to enjoy.


Unfortunately, due to the major roadworks and disruption that this is causing in the valley we have reluctantly had to postpone the Street Market until next year which we promise will be even bigger and better than before.


Our major events include the Street Party, Barn Dance, Festival in the Park and Car Boot Sale along with the Literary Festival and Scarecrow Competition. The Beacon on Westway will be lit on the 8/6/24 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-day.


Also the Waller Pain, Mummers and Ghost Tours are all happening this year.


Throughout the programme you will find details of events put on by other local organisations and I hope you will find them to be of interest as well.


We are very fortunate to be supported by local businesses and we offer a big, heart-felt thank you to all of them. You will find their adverts throughout this programme and I encourage you all to support our local businesses.


We are a small committee alongside some very dedicated helpers. We would love to hear of any ideas for events that anyone may have please contact us on
