Street Party
BOAT RACE STARTS @ 12.45 !!
This year the street party will be even bigger. We have another music stage outside the Legion, more stalls, more entertainers and much more fun for everyone. Some of the Groups that appeared on the stage last time are coming back, and many new Groups have asked to play, some for the first time in public. We have a display of belly dancing, bell ringers, opera singers, flautists and Taekwondo experts. There will be displays by BMX riders, and uni cyclists. Try your hand at Diablo, or try and hoola hoop.
Brazilian Soccer Schools are seeking out "Caterham's most skilful young footballer". Could it be your child? The winners in each age group win a Futebol de Salao match ball together with a term's free coaching! We'll also have some demonstrations of the skills we've learnt by children attending our sessions in Caterham. You'll find us where you hear the Samba music in the Chaldon Road by the Golden Lion.
We have more clowns and entertainers, more activities like donut eating, more jelly and Ice Cream for children, as well as the favourites from last year like the giant painting walls, potters wheel, apple bobbing and cake decorating. And there will also be the giant games, in fact something for the whole family to enjoy.
