Caterham Bowling Club Open Day.

Caterham Bowling Club, Queens Park.  We are a very friendly club situated in pleasant surroundings.  Our qualified bowling coaches will be present for assistance and guidance, whether you are an experienced bowler or an absolute beginner.  Come and give us a try.

Caterham Tennis Club, Open Caterham  Manor Park, Burntwood Lane

Caterham & Whyteleafe Tennis Club.  Just turn up for an open afternoon to explore the courts, play a bit of tennis and meet club members.

Come along to meet the staff for guided tours of this popular and well used centre.  Refreshments available.

Friday Club, Taster day   The Arc

Visit the trading hut near the Library.  Come and talk to experts and enthusiasts and see what is available at the shop. Sound advice on gardening. Plants for sale.

Portcullis Club, open Caterham  Portcullis Club, Victor Beamish Avenue,

Keeps alive memories of RAF Kenley in building no 22, one of the earliest buildings and now the oldest survivor.  Come and see the photos, publications and a small museum

The Arc  Grenadier Place Caterham, CR3 5XY.

Come on a tour, see behind the scenes and look round the Arc and find out about our history, our current programme and our plans for the future.  Free tours at 11am and 2pm.

Caterham Barracks tour Meet outside the Officers Mess

The Guards Depot, used until 1990; a fine example of the reform of barrack design following the Crimean War.  Take the tour for approx. 2 hours

St Lawrence’s Hospital Burial Ground Tour.

Meet at the Cemetery in Green Lane, Caterham (By Surrey National Golf Course, or park in The Village then a 10 min walk).  Open all day but a talk on the history at 6pm. Full details on www.caterhamfestival.org

Caterham’s Hidden Gem  Sacred Heart Church

An opportunity to see the church’s newly revealed historic murals that date from the 1890s, join in an art trail for children, and colouring and brass rubbing for all ages.  Music, refreshments and talks from art experts. www.sacred-heart.co.uk

Cave tour, Open Caterham,

The Wealden Cave and Mine Society is giving guided tours of the Caves below Caterham. Over 14s only and under must be accompanied by an adult.  £7.  Booking required on brianfahy@btinternet.com
